I picked up this kids weight set for my 5-year-old who wants to copy my workouts. I really like the rubber coating—it's quiet when dropped and doesn't scuff our hardwood floors. The hex shape also keeps the dumbbells from rolling away. However, the plastic plates feel a bit cheap and might not survive aggressive play. The knurled steel handle is nice for grip, but the collars can loosen if not tightened firmly.
